What is AAC / M4A
AAC, or Advanced Audio Coding, is often considered to be the successor of the MP3 format. This may be true in the market for legal downloads, but not really for music file sharing. However, the AAC format is also used with video (used with MP4 & 3GP container) and it does provide better audio quality than MP3, keeping the bitrate lower. This makes AAC a suitable audio format for portable players like iPods. Apple's iTunes uses AAC audio in the M4A container.
Most people find AAC the best solution used to compress music to listen to it on mobile phones. Others say that AAC sounds awfully compared to MP3. Let's make things clear.
First, there are two particular things about music files to be played on mobile phones. One is that the files must be as small as possible (the smaller can you squash your music files before they become noticeably affected on playback, the more you can fit onto your memory cards). The other is that you don't expect very high quality from this mobile music.
MP3 files would be excellent but for their size. Here comes AAC. It introduces new advanced ways of compressing audio wave data algorithms. It's advantage is that AAC files are of smaller size but of comparatively good quality (we are speaking about music for mobile phones.
If you want to enjoy stereo and phasing effects and lots of pure waveforms, you'd better use flac or ape). Just look: 128kbps mp3 = 96kbps AAC without little noticeable loss of quality, and the file will be 600kb ~ 750kb smaller in size.
If you convert 192kbps MP3 to AAC the target file will be of 96kbps with tiny loss of sound quality, but HALF of the mp3 file size.
Still there are people who like the sound of AAC files more than of mp3's and those who hate listening to AAC whatever small the files are. That's a matter of taste. But most often people convert MP3 to AAC as a happy medium that allows reasonable quality audio playback and the filesize small enough to allow room for more files on memory cards.
A good tool for converting old MP3 to smaller AAC files to put on mobile phones is Cute Audio Converter.
Now you can convert any song to another size, convert chanels (stereo to mono), change bitrate or frequancy most easily. It is the fastest and most affordable solution currently available on the market.
we will follow steps to convert MP3 to AAC / M4A audio. AAC / M4A audio is increasingly popular online because of its use with the iTunes music store and iPod line of MP3 hardware. It generally provides better quality than MP3 at lower bitrates.

What is AAC?
Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) is a standardized, lossy compression and encoding scheme for digital audio. Designed to be the successor of the MP3 format, AAC generally achieves better sound quality than MP3 at many bit rates.
AAC has been standardized by ISO and IEC, as part of the MPEG-2 & MPEG-4 specifications. The MPEG-2 standard contains several audio coding methods, including the MP3 coding scheme. AAC is able to include 48 full-bandwidth (up to 96 kHz) audio channels in one stream plus 15 low frequency enhancement (LFE, limited to 120 Hz) channels and up to 15 data streams. AAC is able to achieve indistinguishable audio quality at data rates of 320 kbit/s (64kbit/s/channel) for five channels. The quality is close to CD also at 96 kbit/s (48kbit/s/channel) for stereo.
AAC's best known use is as the default audio format of Apple's iPhone, iPod, iTunes, and the format used for all iTunes Store audio (with extensions for proprietary digital rights management).
AAC is also the standard audio format for Sony's PlayStation 3 and is supported by Sony's Playstation Portable, latest generation of Sony Walkman, Sony Ericsson Walkman Phone, Nintendo's Wii (with the Photo Channel 1.1 update installed for Wii consoles purchased before late 2007) and the MPEG-4 video standard. HE-AAC is part of digital radio standards like DAB+ and Digital Radio Mondiale.
ACC audio format is a successor of MP3 that provides with flexible conversion settings and high-quality compression. It is the official format for iPhone, iPod and iTunes, but also is supported by various players and devices. Converting FLAC into AAC you can gain more efficient file compression while saving good sounding quality.
What is MP3?
MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, more commonly referred to as MP3, is a digital audio encoding format using a form of lossy data compression. It is a common audio format for consumer audio storage, as well as a de facto standard encoding for the transfer and playback of music on digital audio players. MP3's use of a lossy compression algorithm is designed to greatly reduce the amount of data required to represent the audio recording and still sound like a faithful reproduction of the original uncompressed audio for most listeners, but is not considered high fidelity audio by audiophiles. An MP3 file that is created using the mid-range bit rate setting of 128 kbit/s will result in a file that is typically about 1/10th the size of the CD file created from the original audio source. An MP3 file can also be constructed at higher or lower bit rates, with higher or lower resulting quality. The compression works by reducing accuracy of certain parts of sound that are deemed beyond the auditory resolution ability of most people. This method is commonly referred to as perceptual coding. It internally provides a representation of sound within a short term time/frequency analysis window, by using psychoacoustic models to discard or reduce precision of components less audible to human hearing, and recording the remaining information in an efficient manner. This is relatively similar to the principles used by JPEG, an image compression format.
